About Diqiu Wang

Diqiu Wang is an emerging artist working across drawing and gelatin plate transfer printing. Her practice explores the relationship between family memory, the ageing body, and domestic objects that carry traces of everyday life.

By combining collected textures from familiar materials with hand-drawn portraits, she examines how time leaves marks on both people and objects. Inspired by pareidolia, Wang’s work reveals hidden connections between material surfaces and the human body, exploring memory as fragmented, fragile, and continuously transformed. Through layered and quiet compositions, she reveals the emotional histories preserved within ordinary objects and the memories they continue to hold.

HOME 1

Through drawing and gelatin plate transfer printing, Diqiu Wang explores the relationship between the human body, domestic objects, and family memory. The unpredictable marks and layered traces created through gelatin transfer reflect the fragmented and constantly changing nature of memory.

For Home 1, Wang collects textures from old objects in her family home and combines them with hand-drawn portraits of family members. Inspired by pareidolia, she explores how worn surfaces can resemble the human body, revealing the shared traces of time, use, and ageing between people and objects.
